Version 0.2 Released
This minor update brings a couple new features and some fixes and QoL improvements to the demo project. More detailed installation instructions have been moved to the readme file, so be sure to check that out.
Features
New Decal Creator
- Make a decal in Blender using any image from your project(in a specified Decal folder).
- Adjust to any size or shape (import Images as Planes works well for this).
- Can support any combination of albedo, normal, ORM, and emission textures.
- Use Custom Properties to specify the depth as well as albedo_fade and normal_fade.
- Check out the example scene for a demonstration, and how to drive the alpha of the Blender plane using albedo_fade for better realtime preview.
Reflection Probe Support
- Create a reflection probe using a box shaped mesh to define the bounds.
- Move the origin of the mesh to change the offset of probe(useful for large rooms).
- Use Custom Properties to additionally specify update_always, box_projection, enable_shadows, and interior properties.
Misc
- Fixed an issue with material importer not working when there were no objects with custom properties.
- Refactoring to better support resource collection(i.e. images, meshes, scenes, etc).
- Re-organized demo files, Blender source files are now included within the demo project, simplifying setup.
- Curve import now has check for invalid data, this should help with diagnosing export failures.
